Since the early 1990s, we’ve invested a significant amount of funds into research undertaken by stroke researchers at Scottish Universities. And much of this research has contributed towards real benefits for people affected by stroke.

With over 1.3 million stroke survivors in the UK, and this number increasing, The Stroke Association plans to continue supporting research in stroke rehabilitation. We’ll also fund research into stroke emergency care and treatment, and prevention of stroke in stroke survivors to help them live the best life they can after stroke.
